ESC 2016 - The host city Stockholm

Part 1/2

 

Between rivers and the nordic life:

Stockholm is situated near the Mälaren. This is one of the biggest lakes in Sweden ( exactly:

the third largest ).

The capital of the country of moose and vikings forms a strait between the abovementioned lake Mälaren and the Baltic Sea.

So many city districts are situated on islands and this is one of the reasons, why you can´t visit this beautiful city within one or two days.

If the sun rises up, you will feal your heartbeat in another way ( I hope you know what I mean :D ) and you can tell your friends how it feels to be alive.

You don´t belive me?! Then look closely and enjoy the following picture:

I assure you: One boat trip lets you have a wonderful view on the "Stadshus" ( =town hall )

or the little island "Stadsholmen" and the old town part "Gamla Stan".

At the end of a winter day you can get the chance to see one of the most wonderful natural spectacles in the world: The nordic auroras

Capital of charity and freedom:

Stockholm is a melting pot of different cultures and people.

Sweden is one of the countries, which allowes to marry a same-sexual person.

Already at an early age the children learn all about equality and sexual freedom at school.

So if you are gay or lesbian, you shouldn´t be afraid of going through the streets.

There it is "more normal" than in other countries of europe / the world.

 My conclusion after this first part:

Stockholm, and Sweden at all, is such a beautiful part of the world that you really have to visit it. If you want to learn more about the capital of our nordic friends, you can follow this site, so you won´t miss anything ;-).
