Occidentali's Karma - The Italian Karma to win?
Never ever without Sanremo:
After the result from last year where Italy finished in 16th position, they want to be as successfull as they were in 2015. The old recipe for a glory Eurovision is called Sanremo and it had been the Italian preselection since a lot of years.
Francesco Gabbani is the winner of this year's edition and he will represent Italy in this way in May but he is not an unknown in the Italian music industry.
He had a big success with his song Amen which won the Newcomer category of Sanremo 2016 and which got his highest position with the 14th place in the Italian charts (was in there for 14 weeks too). Now he won the centre category with Occidentali's Karma but, as it is always my question, how good is these song?

Catchy, full of moves and also a good voice:
The beginning of the song is the first which is able to convince me the most because in comparison to other songs is not here an instrumental beginning which should impress, no, his voice stands in the foreground. He is competing in a singing competition and for me this one of the best way's to catch the attention of the viewers.
Sometimes I compete his voice with Eroz Rammazotti's because it gets its own kind of sound , something special which is really difficult to describe. My personal highlight is the Chorus because you would like to sing with him and dance.
The reader's who followed my blog will know that I am searching something special in the song and truely I found it here more than once. His "ape-dace" in the Chorus is so catchy but my all time favorite is the guitar which convinces the most with the solo. The ending point marked a funny "Om". What a funny end, is not it? What a great songquality!

The conclusion:
Italy selected a very good entry this year. It will be no secret that they will grow up onto a big fan favorite but the big question is how well they can do because for example Barei have not finished in a good position last year and she was in some moments in the show the winner if the odds say who was going to make it.
Anyway, the song is catchy and got its own kind of charme which can convine me, especially the "ape-Dace"! He is doing so well on stage and what I really would like to add, is that he got more and more self-confidence while he was singing on stage. The presentation was filled with so much energy that all people had fun while he was showing what he can. For example the orchestra with their "Allez!".
I think that the song might become a potential winner but there exists a more or less heavy disadvantage because if he will perform the song too catchy, it might share the impression of an interesting one but nothing special which can win Eurovision but I think this song will place into the Top 15!
