Do it for your lover - When the jury becomes your hardest opponent...
Objetivo Eurovision escalated:
The Spanish Preselection, Objetivo Eurovision, had been criticized since it has exist.
Firstly there was the Eurocasting where they eliminated the big favorite Brequette with her song No Enemy and now the broadcaster, RTVE, decides more or less on their own who is going to represent them in Kiev.
The second favorite, after the short participation from Brequette, was Mirela who has got a few Eurovision experiences from the past years and she won the public vote in front of LeKlein but everything should change.... The three jury members (I did not know anyone of these) had strangely very different views. Two of them placed Mirela last and one of them said that she was his favorite. Anyway, in the end there was a draw between Manel and Mirela and the Jury votes decide that Manel was the winner of the show. The audience shouted so loud that you sometimes did not hear the host. Mirela for Eurovision!

Suitable for radio but not for Eurovision:
Do it for your lover sounds cute but also boring. The guitar, which plays the whole time of the song, is too calm and to unimpressive. You can do so much better with these instrument so I could not believe that they did not to it here?!
Maybe it is these strict rhythym which makes it suitable for radio because it is not as annoying as a screaming woman is and in comparison to Mirela, this song has not so many Spanish clichés. Well, the sounds of the South, his whole presentation and the relaxing rhythym sounds Spanish but not as heavy as it was by Mirela.
The Bridge before the last Chorus starts is so boring because at this moment you can see that he has not got a strong voice. I think that it was to dangerous to give him a more difficult song because then he has not placed as well as now.

The conclusion:
If I am honest, I am really disappointed about the Spanish entry. Well, I have to add that I was a big fan of Mirela and Contigo and truely she might have not finish as good in the jury votes as Manel probably will do but her song gets more power and can, in these year of ballads, impress the viewers much more.
It is so boring that I have forgot what he was singing in his Chorus. My big question is: "What makes this song so special that you can remember on it after you heard 25 other songs?!". There is nothing special! And the staging: it was not too bad but why was there a pineapple in the background?! Where is the context?
I thought that my country will get the last place but if the Jury do not give so many points to Spain, I think that Germany will not finish last again! Spain, I love you really much and I have voted for you last year but suely Sweden or Finland will get my votes this years because I do not vote for these decision!
