Flashlight - The increase of darkness!
The magic number three:
Poland has again chosen their act with the national preselection "Krajowe Eliminacje".
The winner of the TV show was Kasia Mos, a 29 year-old musician who studied Cello and Piano, with her song Flashlight which earned the maximum of 10 points from the juries and 9 points from the televote. In the end she won with a distance of three points and a final score of 19. As it was said in the beginning, she tried two times ,before her success last Saturday, to wave the Polish flag at Eurovision. The results were one 10th place (of 15) in 2006 (I wanna know) and a non-qualification for the final round last year.
But, is she able to reach a better place than last year in Stockholm?

Powerfull and dangerous:
Firstly there is no different opinion, Kasia's voice is very well showen with this entry.
Everything is well structured, from the high note in the beginning upto the powerfull ending of the song. The parallels between dangerous and mysterious are amazingly represented with the background and her vocal variability.
Special hint: The white birds who are flying on the black screen reminds me on Hear them calling from Iceland last year. The contrast between her "light and dark voice" maybe shows what the song is about. A flashlight, sometimes it is dark but if you are giving the power to it, the flashlight will light up your way.
There is only one point I have to criticize because I cannot hear a Bridge or a last Pre-Chorus before the end is comming. It is only her voice which is stunning but this is one moment where I am missing a bit the harmony between the components of song and staging.

The conclusion:
I would like to be honest...this is the best Polish entry which I have heard since had been an Eurovision fan!
It is so dangerous and mysterious that ther is no moment where I would like to switch the song. Well, the beginning is sometimes a bit difficult to listen to but in an other way Kasia Mos's voice makes me stunning. How powerfull can a drama-ballad be?! Her voice sounds like drama and her presentation confirmed it.
The birds on the screen, the dark hall, these epic voice, wow Poland, I lost all my kinds for a superlative!
These song will absolutely do better than the place from last year because this year, I think so, the juries will give more points to Poland because the song is not as simple as Colour of your life was, no, it is a suitable drama song which can suprise us a lot if everything is perfect on stage: voice, outfit, show... I think Poland will not get any problems to reach the final and then the starting position will decide in which position Poland will finally takes place, probably the first??? We will see!
