Perfect Life - Is Germany doing last again?

She sang only her first song and everything was clear, Levina was the only suitable performer on this evening who can win Unser Song 2017.
The student of singing and composition was the winner after the third voting round where she leads in front of Axel Feige, so she was going to sing against herself with the songs Wildfire and Perfect Life. Suprisingly Perfect Life was anounced as the winner with a shocking high score of 69%. The song, which was written by Lindy Robbbins, who composed e.g. Dangerous from David Guetta, was not the favorite of the audience in the studio but Germany wants this one. And by the way, the European vibes were not as helpful as it was said in the beginning because at the deciding moment between both song, we have not get an European opinion, which probably could influence the Germans.

Where is the WOW-moment?:
When I firstly heard this song, I thought "What a rhythym? I know it...Titanium!" and sadly the plagiat is not as strong as the title from David Guetta. Well, to say it is a plagiat is too risky but the parallels are there. One reason why it maybe sounds like a Guetta song is that the songwriter, Lindy Robbins, wrote songs for him so she works with this style-kinds.
But the song is too calm and not powerful. Levina does not get the chance to show her full vocal power because her version of Perfect Life has not such a moment for this.
I am really hoping that they will work on this song at some points, the noatation, the kind of singing the Chorus etc.. It sounds too friendly for giving her a good chance in Kiev but we will see what is going to happen in May. The problem is the song, too low, too innocuos and for someone too much Titanium...

The conclusion:
Ohhh, I have not got so many words for this decision. Levina was my favorite and I am really happy with her as the German act, but the songs. I did not like neither Wildfire nor Perfect Life as much as the former German entries but if I should say who was my favourite, I am going with Perfect Life. The problem was not the selection process, no, I have got a totally different opinion because I was really happy with the candidates because all of them got Charisma but again, the song choice...
I say at this point that they should throw out Thomas Schreiber and the other heads because how can I took so boring songs which are especially written for Eurovision. What a silly sentence?! You cannot write a song especially for something, you should compose it because you feel something or you would like to do it, not because you have to write something because you now see how it ends...
Well, if they are working at the song and hopefully change something then it is not a bad one at all but at this point, the single is to unimpressive!
